  1. This file provides information for Shareware Distributors
  2. and Disk Vendors who wish to distribute Students' QuickField
  3. --Field Analysis software for PC.

  5. You are allowed to make as many copies of Students'
  6. QuickField 3.4a as you wish; give exact copies of the
  7. original version to anyone; and distribute Students'
  8. QuickField in its unmodified form, as long as the product is
  9. not distributed for profit.
  10.  
  11. If you distribute Students' QuickField 3.4a, you agree to:
  12. a) distribute all the associated files on the diskette(s)
  13. together as a group;
  14. b) inform the buyer that they are paying not for the
  15. software, but for your distribution services, and if they
  16. (the buyer) continue to use the program beyond the
  17. evaluation period, that they are obligated to pay the
  18. registration fee to Tera Analysis.

  51. Students' QuickField(TM), formerly known as ELCUT, is a
  52. simulation package solving plane and axisymmetric problems
  53. of electrostatics, nonlinear DC magnetics, AC magnetics,
  54. current flow, nonlinear heat transfer, stress analysis and
  55. coupled problems on any PC, starting with AT/286. QuickField
  56. enables you to perform field calculations and obtain various
  57. electro-mechanical design parameters in an extremely
  58. efficient and intuitive way. After an hour playing with
  59. QuickField, you can solve quite complicated problem in a
  60. minute. With the model editor, you can define a finite
  61. element model quickly, easily, and completely. You also can
  62. import model fragments from AutoCAD or other CAD system. You
  63. can easily control the mesh density. The smooth mesh in the
  64. whole region is produced automatically and very quickly. The
  65. interactive postprocessor will help you to analyze the
  66. results with various forms of presentation: field lines,
  67. color maps, X-Y plots, etc., calculate different surface and
  68. volume integral quantities in the contours of arbitrary
  69. shape. It also can produce the tabulated output to a file
  70. for subsequent use in your own program and graphical output
  71. to CGM or PostScript files for quality printing of results.
  72. The solvers based on an innovative Geometric Decomposi
  73. tion(TM) method are much faster than any analogous program
  74. for PC. Optimum Geometric Decomposition is produced
  75. automatically at the preprocessing stage. QuickField
  76. incorporates achievements of Russian linear algebra school
  77. and American programming quality.
  78. New features include: coupled problems of thermo-structural,
  79. magneto-structural, electro-structural and electro-thermal
  80. analyses; Move and Copy commands in the Geometry Editor;
  81. graphical output of the field pictures and XY-plots to CGM
  82. and PostScript files or directly to PostScript printer.
